Have you ever wondered about where is the remotest town on Earth? Do you think it is in the Amazonic rainforest? In an African desert? Perhaps a polar settlement in Russia or Canada? No! It's on an island called Tristan da Cunha. One of my students showed me this remote place searching for interesting places in Google Maps. It lays on the South Atlantic Ocean, mid-way from Africa and America... almost 3000km from Cape Town in South Africa and 4000km from Montevideo, in Uruguay.
